Every year OnePlus launches its flagship smartphone in the first half of the year, then launches a ’T’ variant of the same handset in the second half. This year, the company launched two flagships — OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro but only the former got a ’T’ variant in the country. Last week, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7T in India, but that doesn’t mean that the OnePlus 7T Pro isn’t coming.
For those unaware, OnePlus is set to hold the global launch event of the OnePlus 7T series on October 10, where the OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to be unveiled. While the company has been completely tight-lipped about the OnePlus 7T Pro availability, a banking offer page for HDFC Bank customers has suggested that the device is coming to India this month.
As per the website, the OnePlus 7T Pro is tentatively going on sale in India starting October 10 on three platforms — OnePlus’ official website, Offline OnePlus Experience Stores and Offline Distribution centers including Croma, Reliance Digital and others. Interestingly, the sale date on Amazon is five days after that — October 15.
The offers page reveals that HDFC Bank customers will get Rs 3,000 instant discount when the OnePlus 7T Pro goes on sale.
OnePlus 7T Pro: What we know so far
A recent tipped image of the OnePlus 7T Pro suggests that the device will sport a quad-camera setup on the back as it will include a ToF sensor as an addition to the OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera. If this happens to be true, this will be the first OnePlus smartphone to offer a quad-camera setup on the back.
The company is also expected to upgrade the processor to Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus just as it did for the OnePlus 7T. Other than that, the handset is alleged to retain the pop-up selfie camera and dual-curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
