In the first quarter of 2020, Apple’s truly affordable iPhone – iPhone SE2 – is set to arrive, according to the report of 9to5mac.
The report states trustable Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, who has said that the newer iPhone will be more affordable than the current models: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Kuo also told that the new iPhone will look pretty much like iPhone 8 (launched in 2017) but will be powered by the new A13 Bionic Chip which is found in the 2019 iPhone models.
Kuo also said that the new iPhone SE2 will have 3GB RAM despite of the fact that Apple never reveals how much RAM iPhones will have.
The news of successors to the iPhone SE(Launched in 2015) has been doing the rounds of sometime now. It looks like rumors of iPhone SE2 are true indeed as Apple has become more price-conscious.
Nikkie had first reported the rumors of an affordable iPhone earlier this year. There’s no information as of now regarding the price of the expected successor to the iPhone SE.
Considering that iPhone SE was launched at $349, we can perhaps expect its successor to be priced under $500. Even with the current iPhones, the iPhone 11 was launched at Rs 120,000 less when compared to last year’s affordable iPhone, the XR.
The rumored iPhone SE2 is expected to have a 4.7-inch display — if it borrows looks and form factor from iPhone 8 —.
It will be secured by Touch ID but rumored that it won’t have Face ID. So, we can expect a Home button on the iPhone SE2 as well.
